Summer 2011 Must Haves and Trends.

Summer 2011 Trends: Trouser, Jeans and Shorts.

  • Flares
  • Cropped Trousers
  • High Waists
  • Pajamas
  • Jumpsuit Trends
  • Short Trends
  • Jean Trends
Flare cuts were stars on the catwalk, but not a reason to forget about our bleach and destroy jeans, in the punk and biker chic trend. Jumpsuits, long or short, are back for the summer and concerning shorts, anything is possible ! 🙂
Summer 2011 Trends: Dresses

Belts, buttoned up dresses or knee-lengths, summer 2011 trends seem to have a something of chic and glamour. Light maxi-dresses or comfy straight cuts will also be part of the fun though, to face the heat of sunny days.

  • Straight Cuts
  • Maxi Dress
  • Trench coat inspiration: The buttoned dress
  • Belts
  • Retro Style
  • Will a baby-doll dress come back?
Summer 2011 Trends: Shoes

  • Wedges and Platforms
  • Boyish Looks
  • Flat Boots
  • Flat Flat Flat
  • Flashy Colours
  • Straps
  • More and more laced shoes.

Thick, large and wide are key words for summer 2011 trends : wedges are back, stilettos give way to stacked heels and platforms. Flattest flats, boots and sandals are also in fashion and details are still very important : buckles, straps, laces, anything that can be tied and curled up is great.

Summer Trends 2011: Skirts

  • The Ballet Skirt
  • Tha Paper Bag Skirts
  • The Slit Skirt
  • The Full Skirt
  • Straight and Pencil Skirt

For 2011, skirts are sober with romantic and retro inspirations and simple shapes but slit skirts will break this quiet image. Whaterver the trend is, glamour is the style to remember. 😀 😀

Summer Trends 2011: Accessories

  • Hair Accessories and Hats
  • Belts
  • Tights and Socks
  • Glasses

If there was only one accessory to have this summer, it would be a scarf that you could wear as a headband as much as a belt. In need of some extravaganza ? Fall for round-shaped maxi sunglasses. I bought myself a huge pair of  Geeky glasses to wear to college. yay 🙂

Well, Basically i thought of writing a blog post on the trends cos i was planning to change my wardrobe.. thought best would be research a bit. So yeah, its best to be with the times and yet make a personal style statement 🙂 xx
